Infrastructure Partnerships Australia (IPA) presented the 2016 Water Symposium ‘Urban Water – Pathways to Reform’ held in Sydney in July 2016

The event enabled Australia’s policy makers to hear directly from industry on the opportunities to improve sector efficiency, and to better respond to changing consumer preferences. Mr Jonson Cox, the Chair of the UK water regulator provided a keynote address. Mr Cox has more than 30 years’ business experience across a range of sectors. He has specialised in leading infrastructure businesses in challenging situations and in the turnarounds of public sector businesses in challenging situations. The Symposium featured some of the nation’s foremost thinkers on water policy – and micro-economic reform more broadly. The events programme was developed in collaboration with the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA).
