Reconciliation Action Plan
TRILITY is incredibly proud to have launched our first Reconciliation Action Plan, a one-year Reflect plan representing our organisation-wide commitment to reconciliation.
It provides us with a roadmap to begin our reconciliation journey because we value Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ continuing cultures and contributions to our community and their ongoing connection to the land and water over many thousands of years. Additionally, we want Aboriginals and Torres Strait Islanders to be acknowledged, respected, and celebrated as the traditional landowners for their contributions to the environment, water, and the communities in which we work, live, and play.
Through our Reconciliation Action Plan, we aim to embed new initiatives across our organisation. We strive to raise our employees cultural awareness, engage better and strengthen our relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and develop new relationships with First Australian businesses.
We recognise this is only the beginning of our long-term commitment to reconciliation, and through lessons learned and consultation with our employees and stakeholders, we will continually develop our approach to reconciliation.
TRILITY is very privileged to have worked with a local First Nations artist, David Booth. David facilitated art workshops that formed part of our commitment to reconciliation by providing opportunities for our employees to connect and better understand First Nations people’s connection with Country as a place of belonging, and relationships to storytelling.
Everyone that attended created their very own piece of ‘storytelling artwork’. David used elements from each of the artworks in the overall design of TRILITY’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) artwork. Watch the video to hear David’s narrative and the story behind TRILITY’s RAP artwork.
