Product specifications

Product title: Intrinsically safe toxic gas detector
Brand: ATI

The F12IS toxic gas detector is perfect for detection of gas leaks in explosion-hazard environments. While operating at intrinsically-safe power levels, the F12iS is still available with an Auto-Test system that verifies sensor function daily, virtually eliminating the need for manual “bump tests”.

Even outdoors in high wind conditions, the Auto-Test system provides reliable response checks to insure system integrity. Sensor response is verified with an actual gas sample, generated on demand. Generators store run time information accessible to operators, and are automatically tested for compatibility with the installed sensor.

The F12 toxic gas detector provide useful features that simplify installation, operation, and maintenance. The 4-button keypad is used to configure the menu-driven setup pages. The display also provides alarm indication and complete menus for setting up operating parameters. The IS version of the transmitter is available with HART™ communications. The non-IS version of the transmitter is available with MODBUS™ communications. The MODBUS™ protocol supports 9600 baud access to concentration and status information, and supports alarm setup and many other functions on either RS485 or RS232 (software selectable).

  • Instrinsically safe design – transmitters are designed for use in applications requiring intrinsically safe devices for safety purposes
  • LCD graphic display – gas concentrations are displayed in large easy to read numbers
  • Internal data logger – gas values are stored at user definable intervals and can be recalled when needed
  • Non-intrusive operation – not necessary to open enclosure when making adjustments
  • Serial communication interface
  • Interchangeable sensors – accepts up to 45 different sensors greatly reducing the need for multiple transmitter modules
  • Smart sensors store calibration data, allowing sensor to be calibrated separately from the transmitter
  • Sensor auto-test
  • Sensor calibration history
