TRILITY is proud to announce that Matt Reusch has been named the 2026 WIOA Queensland Operator of the Year, recognising his outstanding contribution to the water industry and his commitment to operational excellence, safety, and leadership.
Presented annually by the Water Industry Operators Association of Australia (WIOA), the award celebrates operators who consistently demonstrate exceptional performance, initiative, leadership, and attention to detail while helping deliver safe and reliable water services to their communities.
Matt has been part of the TRILITY team for more than 23 years, building extensive experience across water and wastewater operations, maintenance, asset management and major infrastructure projects. Now serving as Project Manager, Assets, he is widely respected for his technical expertise, practical approach to problem-solving, and ability to lead teams through complex operational challenges.
Throughout his career, Matt has played a key role in delivering solutions that improve operational performance, support clients and ensure reliable water services for the communities TRILITY serves. He is also a passionate advocate for workplace health and safety, currently serving as Chair of TRILITY’s Safety Forum and helping drive a strong culture of continuous improvement across the business.
Beyond the workplace, Matt is an active member of his local community, dedicating his time to mentoring others through his long-standing involvement in martial arts instruction and community activities.
As the Queensland recipient, Matt will now represent the state as a nominee alongside other state award winners from across Australia.
