Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre reaches key milestone

29 Apr, 2026

TRILITY is pleased to mark another significant milestone at the Sydney Water Upper South Creek Advanced Water Recycling Centre (USC AWRC), with the successful installation of the membrane cassettes within the facility’s Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) tanks.

Often described as the heart of the treatment process, the membranes provide tertiary filtration and play a critical role in producing high-quality recycled water. Their installation represents a major step forward in the delivery of the USC AWRC and brings the project closer to the commencement of operations and maintenance activities.

The milestone reflects the strong progress being made by John Holland, which is delivering the project in partnership with TRILITY through a joint venture arrangement. The successful installation required careful planning, coordination and execution across multiple project teams.

Once operational, the USC AWRC will form an important part of Sydney Water’s infrastructure network, supporting sustainable water management outcomes for one of Australia’s fastest-growing regions.

TRILITY is proud to see the project taking shape and acknowledges the collaboration, expertise and commitment demonstrated by everyone involved in reaching this important stage.
