The SOLO XT digital weight indicator uses exclusive cross technology to merge hydraulic weight sensing with digital indication.

The chlorine cylinder scales are battery powered. They use a hydraulic load cell for weight sensing, therefore no AC power is required. Two standard C cell batteries power the indicator for up to 4,000 hours of continuous display time.

In order to extend battery life even further, the LCD display can be activated by an ON/OFF button located on the face of the indicator. The display automatically powers down after a set period or can be instantly shut off by pressing the button a second time. In this mode, the batteries will last up to three years. The display on model 4-20mA remains on continuously. It is powered by the DC loop and then batteries when loop power is unavailable.

Description

The Wizard 4000™ chemical weight indicator, by Force Flow, is an extremely powerful chemical inventory management system. It is suitable for monitoring chlorine gas, sodium hypochlorite, fluorosilicic acid and all other chemicals used in water treatment. The Wizard 4000™ chemical scales can be used with most electronic load cell based weighing systems.

The Wizard 4000™ has up to four separate channels and can therefore be used to simultaneously monitor levels in up to four separate tanks. This provides the ability to monitor each tank independently, as well as get the combined totals for all the tanks. The "Daily Usage" data and logging function allows for easy record keeping. The "Days Until Empty" function makes it simple to anticipate tank refilling and chemical reorder points.

A "Feed Rate" function allows the operator to monitor chemical feed rates, which can be alarmed or transmitted via a 4-20 mA signal. This important feature allows early warning of dangerously low or high feed rate conditions and therefore prevents hazardous under or overdosing of chemicals to the process.

The Wizard weight indicator provides up to four set points, each triggering dry or solid-state relays. These relays can be programmed for high or low level alarms, automating chemical transfer from bulk to day tanks or diluting chemicals down from their full strength. These features prevent the hazards of running out of chemicals or accidental overfilling of tanks.

The SOLO G2 chemical scales digital indicator provides a simple and economical way to measure chemical usage and inventory.

The SOLO G2 digital indicator incorporates many features including a keypad, 0-100% bar graph display and a diagnostics menu. The diagnostics menu allows the user to calibrate the indicator without the hassle of test weights. All set point, 4-20mA, bar graph and filtering values are now easily entered using the keypad. Therefore adjusting DIP switches is a thing of the past.

During tank change, tare weight can be entered via the keypad to arrive at the correct net (chemical) weight or, if the net weight is known, you can simply enter it directly. Either way the menu driven display prompts the user through this easy process. Description

The drum spill containment scale by Force Flow accurately monitors chemical usage data. The scale reports how much chemical has been fed and how much remains. It also provides total chemical containment in case of a leak or spill.

Polyethylene grating supports the tank and allows chemicals to freely drain into the containment bund during a spill or leak. The initial 11 gallons of a leak or spill are contained directly beneath the drum in the polyethylene basin. If more capacity is required, a roll out bladder deploys enabling the system to hold a total of 66 gallons. The roll out bladder can be oriented to deploy in any direction and keeps overall scale height to less than 7" for easy drum loading. The roll out bladder ensures compliance with regulations that require drum spill containment to store 120% of drum capacity.

The Grundfos DMH hydraulic diaphragm pump is an extremely strong, robust pump for high pressure applications.

The range is highly versatile because it covers a wide flow range. The DMH diaphragm pump also ensures smooth and low-pulsation dosing. The absence of pressure peaks results in less stress to components and longer service intervals for the entire system.

All liquid-wetted parts need to be resistant to the chemicals used. A variety of dosing head and valve materials allow the selection of the exact degree of chemical resistance required.

The serially integrated pressure relief valve and active diaphragm protection system (AMS) keep the pump and entire system protected against overpressure, if the discharge line is blocked. In addition, the degassing valve at the pump guarantees the high functional safety of the pump. DME is a compact positive displacement diaphragm dosing pump, with integrated variable speed motor drive in a IP65 enclosure.

The pump is user friendly, accurate and reliable. It is equipped with a logical control panel with one-touch buttons and a multi-language backlight display.
Grundfos dosing pumps can be calibrated to the actual installation by means of a simple calibration function to enhance accuracy.

The turndown ratio is 1 to 800 which is ten times better than that of traditional equipment.

A unique drive technology and microprocessor control make sure that liquids are dosed precisely and with low pulsation, even when the pump is operating with high viscosity or degassing liquids. Dosing standard skid range consists of pre-engineered standard two pump systems, all piped on a common skid complete with components and controls. A chemical injection quill ensures that chemicals are evenly dispersed in the center of the pipeline. This will prevent channelling of the chemical down the pipe wall.

The Koflo chemical injection quill contains an integral ball check valve which is constructed of ceramic material. Standard units have a 3-1/4" quill length which can be shortened for smaller diameter pipes. Longer quill lengths are available for larger diameter pipelines. To ensure the proper positioning of the 45° bevel in the pipeline, each quill comes with permanently etched flow arrows.

KOFLO chemical injection quills are used to introduce medium to highly corrosive chemicals into a pipeline, without damage to the side port or pipe wall at the point of injection.

The Hydramet HQ3 injection quill is the future of injecting chemicals safely. The quill has been designed with operator safety in mind ensuring the quill cannot be accidentally withdrawn or ejected. It is mechanically impossible for the quill to pass through the seal chamber; it cannot become a projectile.

In addition, the shaft has been strengthened to avoid breaking under pressure and the angled spear tip creates turbulence which improves mixing. The quill has excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking in chloride bearing environments and is therefore suited to chlorination systems.

The Hydra-Mix submersible mixer reduces the effects of chlorine stratification in water reservoirs. It provides continuous mixing with an integral sampling and dosing unit to maintain chlorine residuals levels. The Hydra-Mix analyses and treats the water to maintain the required water quality.

Reservoir volume and the required turnover time determine the mixer sizing and number of eductors. The Hydra-Mix submersible mixer is positioned on the floor of the reservoir with the educator nozzles facing upwards and towards the centre of the reservoir therefore mimimizing any chance of disturbing sediment.

Multiple units can be installed in a reservoir as long as there is access, or they can be placed by a diver. The smaller units can be solar powered for remote sites where there is no mains electricity.

The calibration and software-based adjustment options mean that it is also suitable for use as a testing instrument. The tests are conducted using either Lovibond tablet reagents with long-term stability and a guaranteed minimum 5 or 10 year shelf life, VARIO powder reagents or using liquid reagents.

Calibration certificates are individually supplied per instrument and per method. The Calibration Certificate has to be ordered together with the new instrument and cannot be delivered at a later stage.

GF valves type 514 diaphragm valve has solvent cement sockets, BS and double the flow rate, compared to it's predecessor.

The central plastic housing nut instead of the usual four metal screws is a corrosion-free connection. This guarantees homogeneous expansion when exposed to temperature variations, which eliminates the need to retighten the screws. The resulting uniform surface pressure guarantees tightness up to 16 bar operating pressure. At the same time, the diaphragm valve has linear flow characteristics and thus guarantees increased efficiency and constantly stable processes. The minimized dead space also provides maximal hygiene.

The lockable hand wheel is a standard feature and the two-coloured position indicator shows the actual position of the diaphragm at a glance. In normal operation the lock mechanism disappears in the handwheel, so that the ergonomics are not impeded.

GF valves have ensure the installation length is identical to the length in the previous model - this makes for problem-free backward-compatibility

UPVC lever operated butterfly valve type 567 with ratchet settings.

The 567 butterfly valve is a compact, flexible and reliable shut-off valve. The double centric design protects the valve against pressure surges. They therefore have a longer service life and require less maintenance. Another result of the double eccentric design is reduced torque. Over time, traditional bootstyle valves have a tendency to become harder to operate, which is troublesome for maintenance and operation personnel.
The increased torque can also cause electric actuators to fail prematurely. Even when comparing new valves, our design requires approximately 50% less torque The integrated electric position indicator shows if the valve is open or closed.

Description

The on-site electrochlorination, OSEC®-LC electrolytic system produces sodium hypochlorite onsite and on-demand, at a cost significantly lower than purchased hypochlorite. The system is a single skid, fully packaged system which produces sodium hypochlorite from brine (salt saturated water) by passing it through a DC current. The sodium hypochlorite solution produced is 0.8% available chlorine, which is not deemed to be a hazardous chemical.

The continuous production of sodium hypochlorite solution on-site eliminates the problems inherent in the transport and storage of bulk hypochlorite. In addition, the use of these systems could lower operating costs and disinfection by-products significantly compared to the use of bulk hypochlorite. Operation is completely automatic, making the OSEC®-LC systems ideally suited for remote or unmanned locations.

Description

The floating oil skimmer clean oils, foams and other floating materials from water surface. Baldwin oil skimmers use a patented flow control weir to determine the depth of cut that is skimmed, deeming them the most efficient skimmers on the market for removing any floating contaminants.

At the entrance to the skimmer sump, a floating weir creates a small waterfall which produces the skimming effect. The weir adjusts itself to the proper depth for the flow of the pump. Conversely, the depth of the weir can easily be set by controlling the volume of the pump. The floating oil skimmer is suitable for flow rates from 1,000l/hr to 660,000 l/hr.

These non-selective, high volume skimmers will attract the liquid surface from a 360 degree radius for complete product removal. Light weight and compact, these skimmers are easy to use. Oil water separator – small

Description

The Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) process separates liquids from solids. Microscopic air bubbles become attached to solid particles suspended in liquid, causing the solid particles to float.

In a DAF wastewater treatment system air is dissolved into liquid under pressure. The dissolved air remains in solution until the pressure is released to atmospheric pressure, causing the air to come out of solution in the form of microscopic air bubbles. The bubbles become attached to the solids in the wastewater causing them to float to the surface, forming a float blanket. Surface skimmers then remove the float blanket.

The Baldwin system's air dissolving efficiency is approximately 90% due to the proprietary non-clogging spray cone inside the unit. The efficiency of the dissolved air flotation system permits lower recycle rates and hence allows higher wastewater feed rates.

Description

Emergency chlorine gas scrubbers use dry-scrubbing media, instead of using toxic liquid caustic to neutralise gases. The process removes chlorine by means of adsorption, absorption and chemical reaction. The chlorine is trapped within the pellet where an irreversible chemical reaction changes the gas into harmless solids.

Removal capacity for chlorine gas is 15% minimum by weight. Emergency chlorine gas scrubbing systems can be designed to remove the entire contents of a fully loaded chlorine cylinder in a worst-case scenario.

Description

The Hydra-Vent absorption column absorbs any minor releases of chlorine gas from a pressure relief device. All vacuum regulators/chlorine gas systems include a safety vent facility to relieve gas if the system pressure rises above atmospheric. These releases may occur due to a minor fault or routine operations.

By terminating vent lines to the Hydra-Vent absorption column any atmospheric release of chlorine gas in standard chlorine systems will be alleviated under normal operating conditions for up to 12 months.

The absorption capacity of the Hydra-Vent is 0.6kg of chlorine gas.

Australian Standard AS 2927 compliance
Installing a Hydra-Vent where the relief terminal point is located indoors, meets the requirements of AS 2927:2019 for the storage and handling of liquefied chlorine gas. It will minimise the exposure of personnel and equipment to minor nuisance releases.

Media replacement
Absorption media should be replaced at twelve monthly intervals, or alternatively if an alarm indicates that saturation has occurred.
Regularly changing the absorbent maintains their effectiveness and ensures compliance with Australian Standard AS 2927:2019

The Hydra-Sentinel is an automatic chlorine shut-off device for chlorine cylinders and drums in water and wastewater treatment plants. It meets the performance requirements and recommendations of AS 2927:2019 for the storage and handling of liquefied chlorine gas.

The shutdown system is designed as an additional line of defence to an approved safety plan. It automatically shuts the primary isolation valves on the containers if a significant gaseous chlorine leak is detected. The system may be supplied with an integral chlorine leak detector if required. According to Australian Standard AS 2927:2019; the chlorine installation requirements at public swimming pools shall include an automatic shut-off device.

The control unit includes integral power supply and battery backup. An air regulator provides air at 600 kPa to a maximum of 8 actuator arm assemblies. Each arm is clamped directly to a chlorine container valve.

Description

The chlor cylinder scale 150 is specifically designed to weigh chlorine gas, sulfur dioxide and ammonia cylinders. It is used in small treatment plants, well heads, booster stations and various industrial plants.

A low overall height of only 1-5/8 inches (4 cm) allows cylinders to be easily rolled on and off without lifting and the wall mounted chaining bracket provides the safest possible installation by securing the cylinder to the building structure itself.

The chlor cylinder scale 150 has a 100% PVC platform coated with an exclusive 80 mil thick Tuf-Coat Environmental Armor and uses corrosion resistant fasteners and fittings.
This makes the chlor scale survive for years and years without any damage from corrosion, UV light, impact or abrasion. The incredibly simple “pivoted platform” design has no moving parts either. This means that there are no flexures, levers or mechanical links that are susceptible to corrosion, bending or breaking

Supplied with wall-mount chaining bracket and Wizard 4000 advanced digital weight indicator.

The Wizard 4000™ has up to four separate channels and can therefore be used to simultaneously monitor levels in up to four separate tanks. This provides the ability to monitor each tank independently, as well as get the combined totals for all the tanks. The “Daily Usage” data and logging function allows for easy record keeping. The “Days Until Empty” function makes it simple to anticipate tank refilling and chemical reorder points.

A “Feed Rate” function allows the operator to monitor chemical feed rates, which can be alarmed or transmitted via a 4-20 mA signal. This important feature allows early warning of dangerously low or high feed rate conditions and therefore prevents hazardous under or overdosing of chemicals to the process.

Description

The A24 puffer from ATI tests gas leak detection equipment. It is portable and battery-operated, containing a gas generator and simple hand pump. The hand pump provides a puff of air containing a small amount of the target gas to test gas leak detection equipment. The Evoqua (Wallace and Tiernan) vacuum regulator 200ppd is designed to regulate the gas supply to Wallace and Tiernan chlorinators. It is constructed of a moulded PVC housing for corrosion resistance. It also has metal inlet components to withstand full supply pressure. The vacuum regulator is suitable for chlorine gas, ammonia, sulfur dioxide and carbon dioxide.

A unique lever mechanism and front panel knob provides the operator with a quick indication of operation mode. An additional built-in red indicator becomes visible in low/out of gas situations and an optional contact is available for remote indication.

Evoqua's (previously Wallace and Tiernan) vacuum regulators 3000ppd use a unique pressure check/pressure relief valve design. This design minimises the possibility of gas being released to the atmosphere. It is a double check system utilising two valves that will not open to allow gas flow unless a vacuum is present. In order for gas to be vented, both valves would have to fail, which is extremely unlikely.

For reliability with evaporators, the vacuum regulating valve used with the 10,000 ppd module has an electric operator. It's designed to shut off the chlorine supply should evaporator temperature or water level fall below the operating limit. The vacuum regulator also shuts off chlorine supply if the power fails. The vacuum regulating valve by Wallace and Tiernan also has a low temperature switch designed to close the electric operator and activate an alarm in the event of an evaporator malfunction. The electric operator and the low temperature switch are also available with the vacuum regulators 3000ppd.

ATI’s Model Q46CT toroidal conductivity meter is designed for online monitoring of chemically aggressive process solutions. This sensor consists of two metallic ribbon coils that are fixed in place by the sensor jacket material. The drive coil establishes a strong magnetic field around the sensor body which induces a current in the process solution. The sensing coil is used to measure the induced current in the process solution. The magnitude of this current is proportional to the conductivity of the process solution.

The ATI Q46CT toroidal conductivity meter employs an inductive sensor that allows measurement in corrosive samples with virtually no maintenance. Particularly suitable for high conductivity applications.

Toroidal conductivity monitoring systems contain a variety of features and options to meet virtually any conductivity monitoring and control application. While not suitable for low level conductivity measurement, toroidal monitors are an excellent choice for high conductivity applications. The Q46CT is also available as a concentration monitor

ATI’s Q46 platform represents the latest generation of monitoring and control systems. The ATI Q46C4 conductivity meter provides reliable conductivity measurement with self-checking sensors. A four electrode sensor uses one pair of electrodes to carry the AC drive voltage and a separate pair to sense the strength of the electric field between electrodes. This allows the drive voltage to be automatically adjusted for changes in electrode condition. In addition, it allows the monitor to automatically correct for the effects of electrode fouling. It also allows the sensor to measure accurately over a very wide range of conductivity and eliminates errors due to changes in cable length.

The peracetic acid monitor provides real time measurement of peracetic acid in solution.

Peracetic Acid (PAA) is a strong oxidiser used in the food industry to disinfect piping systems and processing equipment. It is also used for spray washing of food products and for disinfection of cooling water systems.

As with any disinfection system, maintaining proper residual values is key to effective pathogen control. To facilitate reliable chemical feed control, ATI has developed an on-line water quality monitor capable of providing real time measurement of low levels of PAA in solution. The Q46 85 peracetic acid monitor uses a direct sensing polarographic probe either in a flowcell or submersible. A permeable diffusion membrane isolates the sensing electrodes from the measured sample, providing long-term stability without electrode fouling problems. The measurement is selective for peracetic acid and is not affected by changes in hydrogen peroxide concentration, which is always present in PAA solutions.

These chlorine dioxide monitors use a polarographic membraned sensor to accurately measure chlorine dioxide (ClO2) in water. The sensor operates much like a battery, generating current that is linearly proportional to the concentration of chlorine dioxide in solution. A ClO2 permeable membrane isolates the sensor from the measured sample and insures that the measurement is interference free.

Two versions of the sensor are available, a sensor intended for installation in a flowcell and a sensor intended for submersion applications. Requiring minimal maintenance, sensors are easy to use and easy to maintain. This portable water quality monitor system is ideal for short-term recording of specific parameters such as free chlorine and pH. It is easy and quick to set up and operates for up to 30 days from its batteries.

ATI’s P-Q45 is a rugged field-deployable package capable of measuring and recording water quality data in a variety of operating environments. It is ideal for short-term recording of specific parameters such as free chlorine and pH in potable water

The portable water quality monitor is mounted in a sealed and lockable case with it being able to operate for up to 30 days from two C-cell alkaline batteries, recording chlorine and pH data in an on-board data logger.

PQ45 portable water quality monitoring systems can also be used for remote solar powered installations. Instead of using internal batteries, the system can operate from external power supplies from 5-17 VDC.

The portable monitor systems are also available for dissolved ozone, residual chlorine dioxide, dissolved oxygen, or conductivity
The software supplied with the system provides for easy download to a laptop or computer for analysis
The flow and pressure controls are built into the monitor so any external requirements are minimal. The connections are made through self-sealing fittings that isolate the flow as soon as they are disconnected

The Model Q46/88 suspended solids meter is an on-line monitoring system designed for the continuous measurement of suspended solids in water. It is intended for industrial process water, and other applications containing relatively high levels of suspended solids.

The ATI suspended solids meter uses optical sensors operating in the infrared region. Operation with infrared light ensures very long sensor life and minimises the effects of a changing sample colour.

Unlike turbidity sensors that use 90 degree scatter, suspended solids sensors use "backscatter" to increase solids measurements. Operation with infrared light ensures very long sensor life and minimises the effects of changing sample colour.

Sensors are designed to withstand the rigorous conditions of wastewater and industrial process streams and to last for years of service with nothing more than occasional cleaning of the sensing surface. There are no protruding surfaces near the sensing element to avoid accumulation of fibrous materials. Where sensor fouling is frequent, an Auto-Clean version of the system is available that uses ATI’s Q-Blast air cleaner assembly.

The ATI turbidity meter is designed to meet the needs of both municipal drinking water systems and industrial water treatments for reliable, low-range turbidity measurement. A modified flow cell for raw water applications is also available.

The Q46/76 turbidity meter displays the turbidity over a variety of operating ranges. The minimum display range of 0-2 NTU provides resolution down to 0.001 NTU. This is suitable for almost any final filter monitoring application.

The monitor also provides sensor diagnostic functions to warn of conditions that may cause inaccurate or invalid readings. The sensor is continuously monitored for optical fouling and will display an alarm message when the sensor requires cleaning.
